DENVER (AP) β Daniel Bejarano had 25 points, including a career-high six 3-pointers, and Tiel Daniels added 20, helping Colorado State extend its winning streak to 11 games by beating Denver 85-84 on Friday night.
The Rams (11-0) remain one of nine unbeaten teams in the nation. The only other time Colorado State reeled off 11 straight wins was during the 1988-89 season.
J.J. Avila chipped in 10 points with nine assists on a night when one of Colorado State's top scorers, Stanton Kidd, played limited minutes due to early foul trouble.
Brett Olson had 20 points for the Pioneers (5-6) before fouling out.
With the score 57-56 midway through the second half, Colorado State went on an 8-0 run behind Bejarano to gain separation. The Rams then held off a furious rally by Denver in the waning seconds.
The Rams are now 14-4 under coach Larry Eustachy in games played in December.
