DALLAS (AP) β€” Nic Moore scored 23 points, Keith Frazier added 14 more and SMU held off lower-division Midwestern State for a 70-61 win Monday night.

Ben Moore contributed 10 points and 13 rebounds, while Yanick Moreira had nine points, nine rebounds and nine blocks for SMU (9-3), which shot just 38.3 percent in extending its win streak to seven.

Northwestern State, an NCAA Division II school, led early in the first half before losing the advantage at the break and then tied it at 52 midway through the second half on Derrell Gibbs' layup with 8:24 to go.

SMU responded with a quick 5-0 burst fueled by Moore to retake the lead, and held on down the stretch. The Mustangs sealed the win by hitting 6 of 8 from the free throw line in the final 28 seconds.

Gibbs and Bretson McNeal led Midwestern State with 11 points apiece.
