Furman snaps 4-game skid, beats St. Andrews 72-35

GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) β€” Stephen Croone had 10 points, seven assists and five rebounds and Furman easily handled NAIA St. Andrews for a 72-35 victory on Tuesday night.

Devin Sibley and Daniel Fowler each scored 12 to pace Furman (3-8). Kendrec Ferrara added eight points and 10 rebounds.

The Paladins led 30-21 at the break and outscored St. Andrews 31-4 over the first 13 minutes of the second. They opened the period with 10 straight points and had another run of 15 straight during that stretch.

Furman led by as many 12 late in the first half although St. Andrews closed within seven with 1:59 left in the period.

Jeff Gulley led the Knights with nine points. Titus Gary added eight and Tahj Scott seven.

The Paladins lost all four games of a difficult road trip to TCU, Gardner-Webb, Florida Gulf Coast and Minnesota, but returned to win their second straight home game.
