No. 11 Maryland tops Michigan State in double overtime

EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) β Dez Wells scored 16 points, including a tying 3 with 2.2 seconds left in regulation, and No. 11 Maryland earned a 68-66 double-overtime win over Michigan State on Tuesday night in the Terrapins' first-ever Big Ten game.
Melo Trimble, just 2-for-13 from the field, added 15 points for Maryland (13-1), which used its size advantage for a 52-36 edge on the boards.
Travis Trice scored 26 points for the Spartans (9-5, 0-1), who had just one double-figure scorer in 50 minutes.
The Terrapins' other big edge was going 26-for-32 from the foul line, all after halftime, while Michigan State missed great chances at the end of regulation and the first overtime.
