Chealey's 15 lead Charleston to 60-47 victory
CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) β Joe Chealey scored 15 points and Jarrell Brantley added 11 points and 13 rebounds to lift the College of Charleston to a 60-47 victory over Boise State at the Charleston Classic on Thursday night.
The Cougars (3-0) took control late in the first half with a 25-9 run to grab a 10-point lead at the break.
Boise State (1-1) scored three straight baskets to start the second half. Charleston responded with a 13-4 run to restore its double-digit lead.
The Cougars will play UCF, an 86-61 winner over Mississippi State, on Friday for a spot in Sunday night's championship final. Boise State will play the Bulldogs, looking to stay out of the seventh-place game in the eight-team tournament.
Chandler Hutchinson had a game-high 24 points and 12 rebounds for Boise State.
The Cougars will look to slow down UCF's 7-foot-6 center Tacko Falls, who had 26 points against Mississippi State.
