Somehow, Maryland guard Aaron Wiggins turned a missed 3-point shot into one of the best plays of the college basketball season.

As the first half was winding down in the No. 4 Terrapins' game Wednesday night against Notre Dame, Wiggins hoisted a contested shot from the right wing. It came up just a bit short and bounded straight up into the air.

The Irish, presumably, took a sigh of relief and could go into halftime down just 10. But in the midst of all that presumed sighing, everyone forgot to block out Wiggins, the shooter, who flew in for a monstrous jam as time expired.

It was really quite remarkable.

The courtside angle is perhaps even more impressive.

Maryland went on to a 72-51 win to move to 9-0, the Terps' best start since 1998-99. Wiggins finished with 11 points and one incredible highlight.
