"One Shining Moment" is right up there with upsets, Cinderellas, buzzer-beaters and bracket contests as a favorite March Madness tradition.
The song, written in 1986 by David Barrett, has been the soundtrack for each NCAA Tournament's highlight package since 1987 and has become must-see TV for hoops fans who stay up late enough to hear the title game's final buzzer.
Virginia watched “One Shining Moment” Monday night as the Cavaliers celebrated winning the school's first national basketball championship with an 85-77 overtime victory against Texas Tech at U.S. Bank Stadium.
