  • Senior kicker at Marian (Ind.) has a dream day to get his team to the NAIA title game

Some notable performances and accomplishments from around college football this weekends, by the numbers.

0: Passes by West Virginia's Geno Smith that hit the ground in a 59-10 win against Kansas. Smith was 23-for-24 for 407 yards and three TDs. The lone incompletion was an interception. The 95.8% completion rate matches an FBS record for a game (minimum 20 completions).

.912: Career winning percentage for Boise State coach Chris Petersen (83-8), easily best among active FBS coaches with at least five years' experience. The Broncos have had at least 10 wins each of his seven seasons, reaching 10-2 this year with a 27-21 win at Nevada.

2: Field goals of at least 50 yards by senior Mike Josifovski of Marian (Ind.), including a 51-yarder as time expired, to give the Knights a 20-17 win against previously unbeaten Missouri Valley and a spot in the NAIA title game for the first time. Entering the game, Josifovski was 8-for-16 on the season with a long of 42 yards. He was 4-for-6 Saturday, hitting a school-record 54-yarder in the second quarter.

3: Consecutive seasons with double-digit wins for Stanford. The Cardinal moved to 11-2 this season with a 27-24 win against UCLA for the Pac-12 title and a spot in the Rose Bowl against Wisconsin. Before this streak, Stanford had only three years of at least 10 wins in its history.

11: Consecutive 100-yard rushing games by Northern Illinois QB Jordan Lynch, adding to his FBS record for QBs. He ran for 160, including the game-deciding TD, in the Huskies' 44-37 double-overtime win against Kent State for the MAC title. Lynch has 1,771 rushing yards the season, also an FBS record for QBs.

16: Touchdown passes in three career playoff games for Old Dominion sophomore QB Taylor Heinecke. He tied the FCS playoff record Saturday with six in a 63-35 win against Coastal Carolina. Heinecke also had a playoff-record 539 yards of total offense (497 passing, 48 rushing).

25: Career games with at least two touchdowns, tying an FBS record, by Wisconsin's Montee Ball. He already owned the FBS record for touchdowns and now has 82 after scoring three times in a 70-31 rout of Nebraska in the Big Ten title game. Ball's total of 494 points also is an FBS career mark.

40: First downs by Mount Union (Ohio), tying its own Division III playoff record, in a 72-17 win against Widener (Pa.) in the quarterfinals. The Purple Raiders (13-0) gained 753 yards, 20 short of the playoff mark set by the 1995 Mount Union team. Widener came in allowing 297.2 yards a game.

84: Games against FBS teams since Arkansas State had a shutout before beating Middle Tennessee 45-0 to clinch the Sun Belt regular-season title. Before Saturday, the Red Wolves' last FBS shutout was Oct. 22, 2005, 3-0 (in overtime!) against Florida Atlantic. They allowed 203 yards to a MTSU that came in averaging 410.

233: Fewer yards rushing allowed by West Texas A&M in its second meeting with Colorado State-Pueblo, a 34-13 win in the Division II quarterfinals. The top-ranked Thunderwolves ran for 265 yards in a 44-34 season-opening win against the Buffaloes but had only 32 Saturday.
