You've heard of group touchdown celebrations.
Now, get ready for group fake injury responses.
In Kentucky's 23-21 victory against NC State β a game with double-digit unsportsmanlike conduct penalties β you'd expect nothing less.
Kentucky senior defensive back Brandin Echols was already filling in at corner with many Wildcats unavailable. He was covering NC State receiver Devin Carter, and there may have been a little contact from him after the play. But Carter shoved Echols, who flopped and put on a performance after going to the ground.
Can someone get this man an Oscar for best use of playing dead to draw an unsportsmanlike penalty?
Echols didn't even get up after safety Vito Tisdale shook him. Then you've got to give some awards out to Tisdale and defensive tackle Jerquavion Mahone for pantomiming chest compressions to resuscitate the "unresponsive" Echols, who was later injured in the game.
Truly a great effort. Brilliant performance by all. It's good to have some fun after this crazy season.
