Former University of Louisville assistant football coach Cort Dennison's prolonged leave of absence was prompted by allegations of violent threats, physical abuse and stalking by a former university administrator and will end with the Cardinals' co-defensive coordinator no longer employed by the university.
Christine Herring, fired in the fall of 2020 from her position as the athletic department’s senior women’s administrator, obtained a protective order against Dennison in October after filing a petition that said an extramarital affair spanning 2 1/2 years had left her fearful Dennison "is an imminent threat to me, my family and himself."
