Not everything is going perfectly for No. 1 Alabama this season.

The school announced Monday running back Dee Hart and wide receiver DeAndrew Smith will miss the rest of the season with knee injuries after being hurt in Saturday's win against Mississippi.

Both will require surgery.

It is the second major knee injury for Hart, who tore his ACL last summer before his freshman season and redshirted.

The injury is another blow to the Alabama backfield that already lost Jalston Fowler for the season.

Hart is third on the team with 21 carries for 88 yards. His loss will give more of a load to starter Eddie Lacy and freshman T.J. Yeldon.

White, a sophomore, is fourth on the team with eight receptions for 105 yards and two touchdowns.
