BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) β€” Breanna Stewart scored 25 points and No. 2 UConn returned from a 13-day break to rout No. 25 DePaul 98-64 on Friday night.

Kia Nurse had 19 points and Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis added 16 points and nine rebounds for UConn (7-1). Morgan Tuck and Gabby Williams each had 14 points.

Brittany Hrynko led DePaul (7-4) with 17 points. Jessica January and Megan Rogowski each added 13.

UConn held the Blue Demons 27 points under their season average.

The game was tied at 24 before UConn switched to a zone defense and went on a 12-0 run. The Huskies led by 20 at halftime and stretched the lead from there.

NO. 6 NORTH CAROLINA 65, MAINE 36

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) β€” Allisha Gray scored 17 points and North Carolina bounced back from its first loss of the season with a 65-36 victory over Maine at the Carolinas Challenge on Friday night.

The Tar Heels (10-1) fell to No. 16 Oregon State 70-55 on Tuesday night.

Latifah Coleman added 10 points for North Carolina.

Sigi Koizar led Maine (7-4) with nine points.

NO. 9 BAYLOR 74, NO. 19 SYRACUSE 72

WINTER PARK, Fla. (AP) β€” Nina Davis had 26 points and 17 rebounds, and Niya Johnson hit the go-ahead basket with a minute left in Baylor's victory over Syracuse in the Florida Sunshine Classic.

Syracuse had the ball with 16.1 seconds remaining with a chance to tie or take the lead, but Alexis Peterson's driving shot fell off the rim, giving Baylor (9-1) its eighth straight victory.

Diamond Henderson hit five 3-pointers and scored 27 points to lead Syracuse (8-2).

NO. 13 DUKE 95, MASS-LOWELL 48

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) β€” Sierra Calhoun scored 19 points and Duke routed Massachusetts-Lowell.

The Blue Devils (7-3) led by 20 at the 8-minute mark and 50-20 at halftime.

Rebecca Greenwell had 15 points and reserve Oderah Chidom 13 for Duke.

Shannon Samuels had 26 points for the River Hawks (5-5).

NO. 16 OREGON ST 71, SOUTHERN ILLINOIS 55

NEW ORLEANS (AP) β€” Ruth Hamblin scored 16 points to lead Oregon State past Southern Illinois in the opening round of the New Orleans Shootout.

Sydney Wiese added 12 points, Marie Gulich had 11 and Gabby Hanson 10 to help propel the Beavers (9-0) to their best start in school history. Oregon State coach Scott Rueck was ejected late in the first half after receiving two technical fouls.

Dyana Peirre led Southern Illinois (6-3) with 10 points and nine rebounds.
