HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) β€” Napheesa Collier scored 21 points and top-ranked UConn beat East Carolina 90-45 for the program's 89th straight win on Wednesday night, moving the Huskies within a game of their own NCAA record.

Gabby Williams added 16 points, Katie Lou Samuelson had 15 and Kia Nurse chipped in with 14 for UConn (14-0, 2-0 American), which now has the two longest winning streaks in Division I college basketball history.

The win broke a tie with the John Wooden's UCLA men's program, which won 88 straight in the early 1970s. That program won 10 national titles. Geno Auriemma's women have won 11 championships, including the last four.

Kristen Gaffney led East Carolina (9-6, 0-2) with 12 points.

No. 2 BAYLOR 91, No. 17 WEST VIRGINIA 56

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) β€” Alexis Jones scored 21 points, Kalani Brown had 16 points and 11 rebounds and Baylor beat West Virginia.

The Lady Bears (14-1, 3-0 Big 12) won their 12th straight game and handed the Mountaineers their second-straight loss after winning their first 13.

Brown and Baylor were in control almost from the start. Brown scored 11 of the Lady Bears' first 16 points. Jones had a pair of baskets during an 8-0 run early in the second quarter and Baylor maintained a double-digit lead the rest of the game.

Teana Muldrow led West Virginia (13-2, 1-2) with 16 points. Lenay Montgomery and Tynice Martin had 11 points apiece.

No. 3 MARYLAND 93, NEBRASKA 49

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) β€” Shatori Walker-Kimbrough scored 10 of her 19 points in the first quarter and Maryland ran off to a victory over Nebraska.

It was the Cornhuskers' second-most lopsided loss in program history and worst since Kansas State beat them 82-31 in 1975.

Brionna Jones had 13 points to go with 11 rebounds for her fifth straight double-double and ninth this season for the Terrapins (14-1, 2-0 Big Ten).

Jessica Shepard struggled with her shot but finished with 12 points for the Cornhuskers (4-11 0-3).

No. 15 TEXAS 66, KANSAS 54

LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) β€” Brooke McCarty scored 15 points and Ariel Atkins and Joyner Holmes combined for 14 in the pivotal third quarter to lead Texas over Kansas.

Kansas (6-8, 0-3 Big 12) got within three on Kylee Kopatich's jumper with 5:53 left in the third quarter but didn't get another field goal the rest of the period with Texas (9-4, 3-0) going on a 15-2 run. The Longhorns led by as many as 20 in the final quarter in winning despite 31 turnovers.

No. 20 OKLAHOMA 85, No. 25 KANSAS STATE 80, OT

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) β€” Vionise Pierre-Louis scored seven of her 17 points in overtime and Gabbi Ortiz hit a pair of clutch free throws with five seconds left to insure Oklahoma's win over Kansas State in a Big 12 Conference battle between ranked teams.

Oklahoma (12-3, 3-0) led by a dozen points early in the fourth quarter but the Wildcats roared back when the Sooners went cold from the field. Kindred Wesemann tied the game and Breanna Lewis' layup with 1:47 left gave the Wildcats the lead, 63-61. Maddie Manning pulled the Sooners even with a jumper with under a minute left in regulation and Lewis put Kansas State ahead once again with another layup. Ortiz tied the game at 67-67 with a 3-pointer with 20 seconds left in regulation and when Karyla Middlebrook's jumper with :03 left missed, the game went to overtime.

Middlebrook led Kansas State (11-4, 1-2) with 27 points on 10 of 19 shooting from the field.

No. 22 SOUTH FLORIDA 62, TULANE 53

NEW ORLEANS (AP) β€” Maria Jespersen had 13 points and 10 rebounds, Laia Flores added 10 points, five assists and a career-high six steals and South Florida beat Tulane.

Kolby Morgan's layup gave Tulane (10-5, 1-1 American Athletic Conference) a three-point lead, but Ariadna Pujol hit a jumper, Kitija Laksa made a 3 and Jespersen had back-to-back buckets to make it 35-29 with 4:43 left in the third quarter and USF (12-1) led the rest of the way.

Leslie Vorpahl led the Green Wave with 16 points, on 7-of-11 shooting, and five assists.

No. 23 DEPAUL 79, CREIGHTON 65

CHICAGO (AP) β€” Brooke Schulte scored a career-high 30 points, Jacqui Grant had a double-double and DePaul defeated Creighton.

Grant had 15 points and 12 rebounds for the Blue Demons (12-4, 4-0 Big East) and Chante Stonewall and Tanita Allen combined for 21 off the bench.

Freshman Jaylyn Agnew led the Bluejays (9-5, 3-1), who had a four-game winning streak snapped, with a career-high 21 points off the bench. Marissa Janning scored 15 and Audrey Faber 11.
