STANFORD, Calif. (AP) β€” Karlie Samuelson scored 15 points with four 3-pointers and Hall of Fame Stanford coach Tara VanDerveer moved within four victories of No. 1,000 for her career as the 10th-ranked Cardinal beat Arizona 73-46 on Friday night.

VanDerveeer is closing in on joining the late Pat Summitt as the only NCAA women's coaches with 1,000 career wins.

Brittany McPhee contributed 13 points, six rebounds and two blocked shots and Erica McCall also scored 13 in Stanford's 15th straight win against Arizona at Maples Pavilion.

Wildcats leading scorer LaBrittney Jones, averaging 15.7 coming into the weekend, had 11 points on 5-for-12 shooting but her team was overmatched by VanDerveer's deep team from the opening tip.

NO. 11 OREGON STATE 70, UTAH 44

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) β€” Sydney Wiese scored 17 points and Marie Gulich had 14 points and 11 rebounds to lead Oregon State.

Wiese extended her Pac-12 career record for 3-pointers, making 5 of 7 for 323. Gulich posted her fourth double-double this season.

Oregon State (17-2, 6-1) finished the first quarter with a 6-0 run to take an 18-14 lead then outscored Utah 21-8 in the second period. The Beavers scored the final 11 points of the second, including two Wiese 3-pointers, for a 39-22 edge after Utah missed its final seven shots of the half.

Utah missed its first five shots in the third quarter and Oregon extended its lead to 58-32 by the period's end.

Emily Potter scored 12 points and Wendy Anae added 11 for Utah (13-5, 2-5).

NO. 18 ARIZONA STATE 54, CALIFORNIA 45

BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) β€” Sophie Brunner had 14 points and 10 rebounds, including a 3-pointer that sparked a late run for Arizona State.

Brunner's 3 gave the Sun Devils (14-4, 5-2 Pac-12) the lead for good, Sabrina Haines added a layup and Quinn Dornstauder's jumper with 1:21 left capped seven straight points at 49-42. Penina Davidson hit a free throw for the Bears (14-5, 2-5) and then Arizona State made 5 of 6 free throws to seal the win.

Cal led for most of the third quarter and then battled back and forth until the Sun Devils pulled away.

Asha Thomas had 13 points and Kristine Anigwe added eight points and 15 rebounds for Cal.
