SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) β€” Brianna Turner had 25 points and 12 rebounds and No. 8 Notre Dame held off an upset bid by No. 14 Duke with a 62-58 victory Thursday night.

Lindsay Allen finished with 12 assists for the Irish (19-3, 7-1 Atlantic Coast Conference), who moved back into a first-place tie in the ACC with Florida State.

Lexie Brown scored 22 points to lead the Blue Devils (17-4, 5-3 ACC), who lost their 12th straight to Notre Dame.

No. 3 MARYLAND 94, ILLINOIS 49

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) β€” Shatori Walker-Kimbrough scored 14 points to lead Maryland to an easy win over Illinois.

Maryland (20-1, 8-0 Big Ten) had little trouble on either side of the ball, shooting 43 percent from the field and 7-22 from 3-point range.

The Terrapins got off to a quick start in the first quarter when Illinois went on a 5:28 scoring drought and Maryland a 14-0 run, never giving up the lead.

Alex Wittinger led the way for Illinois (8-13, 3-5) with 21 points.

No. 5 SOUTH CAROLINA 62, GEORGIA 44

ATHENS, Ga. (AP) β€” A'ja Wilson scored 19 points to help South Carolina beat Georgia.

Wilson missed the Gamecocks' previous game against the Bulldogs two weeks ago with an ankle injury, a game South Carolina won 66-63. She also had 10 rebounds in Thursday's win.

It was the lowest point total of the season for South Carolina (18-1, 8-0 SEC) this season. The Gamecocks' previous low came in their 74-63 loss at Duke in early December.

Allisha Gray added 18 points for South Carolina, which won its 12th consecutive game and is the only team unbeaten in the SEC after its win over No. 4 Mississippi State on Monday.

Pachis Roberts and Mackenzie Engram led Georgia (10-10, 2-5) with 10 points each.

No. 6 FLORID STATE 69, GEORGIA TECH 63

ATLANTA (AP) β€” Shakayla Thomas scored 17 points, Imani Wright added 14 and Florida State won its seventh straight game with a victory over Georgia Tech.

The Seminoles (20-2, 8-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) remained atop the league standings, trailing for just one possession and improving to 8-0 on the road.

Kaylan Pugh finished with 23 points and Zaire O'Neil had 12 for Georgia Tech (13-7, 2-5). The Yellow Jackets have lost three straight and five of seven.

No. 9 LOUISVILLE 60, CLEMSON 46

CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) β€” Myisha Hines-Allen scored 13 of her 16 points in the final two quarters and Louisville held off Clemson for the Cardinals' 800th all-time victory.

Not that it was easy. The Cardinals (19-4, 6-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) led just 41-35 after Danielle Edwards' 3-pointer with 8:22 to go. But Kylee Shook answered with a three and Briahanna Jackson a bucket as Louisville pushed the lead to double-digits.

Clemson (11-10, 0-8) could not respond and went on to its 41st straight loss against ACC competition.

Louisville is the 39th women's Division I program with at least 800 victories.

No. 15 OHIO STATE 88, MINNESOTA 76

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) β€” Kelsey Mitchell scored 25 points, Shayla Cooper added 18 on 8-of-10 shooting and Ohio State held off Minnesota.

Stephanie Mavunga added 13 points and 16 rebounds for the Buckeyes (18-5, 8-1 Big Ten), who won their fourth straight with a 9-2 run early in the fourth quarter and closed with an 8-2 run.

Cooper had a 3-point play with 1:28 remaining to put Ohio State up 83-74. Mavunga followed with a free throw eight seconds later and a putback with a minute left after a pair of quick shots by the Golden Gophers, who missed their last six shots. That made it 86-74, the largest lead of the game.

Mitchell had a jumper and 3-pointer in the early surge, and after a Minnesota basket, hit another 3 to make it 76-65 with 5:26 left. Carlie Wagner had back-to-back 3s for Minnesota that cut the lead to 78-72 at 4:25.

Wagner finished with 34 points, four shy of her career best, for the Gophers (11-10, 2-6).

No. 17 MIAMI 100, No. 88 NORTH CAROLINA

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) β€” Jessica Thomas scored 24 points to match her career high, Laura Cornelius hit five 3-pointers for 19 points, and Miami reached triple figures for the first time in six years, defeating North Carolina.

Shaneese Bailey had 15 of her 17 points in the first half and Keyanna Harris came off the bench to score 17 for the Hurricanes (15-5, 4-4 Atlantic Coast Conference).

Thomas scored 14 points, including nine straight, in the third quarter when Miami broke away from a halftime tie at 44 to take a 75-61 lead, outscoring the Tar Heels 31-17.

Paris Kea had 26 points, Destinee Walker 23, and Jamie Cherry 22 for the Tar Heels (12-9, 1-7), who lost their fourth straight.

No. 18 N.C. STATE 55, PITTSBURGH 42

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) β€” Jennifer Mathurin and Dominique Wilson scored 13 points apiece and North Carolina State defeated Pittsburgh.

Chelsea Nelson added 10 points for the Wolfpack (16-5, 6-2 Atlantic Coast Conference), who won their third straight.

Brenna Wise had 11 points for the Panthers (12-8, 3-4).

VIRGINIA 76, No. 19 VIRGINIA TECH 27

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) β€” Jocelyn Willoughby scored 18 points, Breyana Mason added 17 and Virginia routed Virginia Tech, matching the largest win in Cavaliers history.

The Cavaliers (14-6, 3-4 Atlantic Coast Conference) scored the first nine points of the game and led 18-11 after one quarter. Then they outscored the Hokies 23-5 and 21-2 in the next two quarters.

The Cavs opened the second quarter with a 13-0 run and closed it with a 10-0 run as Virginia Tech went 2 for 13 from the field. It was a 7-0 start and 14-0 finish in the second quarter when the Hokies went 1 for 15.

Virginia Tech (16-4, 3-4) has lost three straight and 4 of 5 after starting 15-0.

No. 24 GREEN BAY 84, YOUNGSTOWN STATE 51

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) β€” Jessica Lindstrom scored 19 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, and the No. 24 Green Bay women won its 10th straight game, and ninth straight to open Horizon League play, by routing Youngstown State.

The Phoenix debuted in the AP Top 25 this week after notching wins over 2016 NCAA Tournament teams Belmont, Chattanooga and South Dakota State and nearly upsetting then No. 1-ranked Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind. Green Bay has now been ranked at some point in six of the last seven seasons.

Green Bay (18-2, 9-0) blew the game open with a dominant second quarter in which the Phoenix outscored Youngstown State 22-5 after the Penguins took a 19-18 lead after one quarter.

Mehryn Kraker had 17 points and grabbed six boards for Green Bay.

Alison Smolinski and Melinda Trimmer each had 10 points for Youngstown State (7-13, 3-6).
