Week 14 injuries: Suggs will sit against Redskins

Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs won't play in Week 14 against the Washington Redskins.

The Baltimore Ravens will be without 2011 Defensive Player of the Year Terrell Suggs due to his torn right biceps.The Ravens are also missing tight end Ed Dickson (knee) and linebacker Dannell Ellerbe (ankle) against the Washington Redskins

The Redskins' thin secondary will have the services of starting cornerback DeAngelo Hall. He was on crutches earlier in the week with a sprained ankle.

-- Tim Tebow is active and serving as the New York Jets' backup quarterback Sunday at Jacksonville.

Third-string quarterback Greg McElroy is inactive, along with starting tight end Dustin Keller (ankle). Receiver Stephen Hill (knee) is active after being listed as questionable Friday.

Tebow sat out the last two games while recovering from two broken ribs. McElroy replaced Sanchez during last week's 7-6 win over Arizona.

Rashad Jennings, cornerback Aaron Ross, running back Maurice Jones-Drew, guard Mike Brewster and receiver Cecil Shorts III are inactive for the Jaguars.

-- As expected, Indianapolis Colts running back Donald Brown (ankle) won't face the Tennessee Titans. Vick Ballard will get another start in his place.

-- St. Louis receiver Danny Amendola is out for the Rams' game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

Amendola is nursing a foot injury, and missed his fifth game this season. He still leads the team in receptions (51) and yards (576).

Bills' top receiver Stevie Johnson is active after being limited in practice on Thursday and Friday because of a hamstring injury. Receiver Donald Jones returned after missing one game because of a calf injury.

-- Josh Brown is kicking for the Cincinnati Bengals against the Dallas Cowboys, taking the place of injured Mike Nugent.

Sean Lissemore starts at nose tackle for the Cowboys, who were playing one day after defensive lineman Josh Brent was charged with intoxication manslaughter for a traffic accident that killed teammate Jerry Brown.

-- The Pittsburgh Steelers made Rashard Mendenhall inactive against the San Diego Chargers, the second consecutive week the running back has been scratched.

Mendenhall hasn't played since fumbling in a loss to Cleveland on Nov. 25. Jonathan Dwyer will make his second consecutive start at running back, with Isaac Redman the first one off the bench.

Cornerback Ike Taylor (fractured ankle) is also inactive, snapping his streak of 135 consecutive games played. Linebacker LaMarr Woodley (fractured ankle), offensive linemen Mike Adams and John Malecki, quarterback Byron Leftwich and defensive end Al Woods join Taylor and Mendenhall on the inactive list.

-- Chicago's list of inactive players at Minnesota includes starters cornerback Tim Jennings (shoulder), linebacker Brian Urlacher (hamstring), nose tackle Stephen Paea and wide receiver Earl Bennett (conscussion). Paea was the only player the Bears thought had a chance to play.

The Carolina Panthers are missing four starters against the Atlanta Falcons, running back Jonathan Stewart (ankle), wide receiver Brandon LaFell (foot), strong side linebacker James Anderson and defensive tackle Dwan Edwards.
