For the first time in a half century, the Kansas City Chiefs are Super Bowl champions.
In the final game of the NFL's centennial season, Patrick Mahomes earned MVP honors and Andy Reid can eliminate his "winningest coach to never win the Super Bowl" label.
Is this the start of a dynasty? Travis Kelce sure thinks so. As does our Nancy Armour, who says the start of the leauge's second century of play could be dominated by Mahomes & Co.
The San Francisco 49ers, meanwhile, will have to live with the fact that they surrendered a 10-point fourth-quarter lead in the Super Bowl. While Kyle Shanahan was on the wrong end of another Super Bowl comeback, Jimmy Garoppolo was unable to seize his opportunity to make his mark as a clutch performer on football's biggest stage.
Where does Super Bowl LIV rank among those played before it? Our Nate Davis found a spot for the Chiefs' thrilling win in his rankings of every Super Bowl played.
