Cleveland Browns at Kansas City Chiefs: AFC divisional playoff live stream, how to watch, odds, time

Charles Goodman
Chiefs Wire

The Cleveland Browns scored 28 first-quarter points in last week's wild-card round to get past the Pittsburgh Steelers 48-37.

They will face a much tougher time Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Chiefs are the defending Super Bowl champions and finished the regular season 14-2. They have the top offense in the league, led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and are rested coming off a bye week. They aren't likely to make the same mistakes as the Steelers, who muffed the first offensive snap last week, leading to a Browns defensive touchdown.

The Browns (11-5) have a middle-of-the-pack defense and are in the bottom third against the pass. They are in their first playoff game in 18 years.

The good news is that Browns coach Kevin Stefanski will be back after missing the Steelers game while in COVID-19 protocol.

How can I watch the Browns at Chiefs?

Fans can watch the game at 3:05 p.m. ET Sunday, CBS or live streamed on fuboTV.

What are the odds for the Browns at Chiefs?

According to BetMGM.com, the line is Chiefs -10 and the over/under is 57.5.

What are the keys for the Browns?

They need to find an equal amount of success on offense as they did in the wild-card win. But Cleveland need not get in a shootout. The Browns need to stick to a heavy dose of RB Nick Chubb and force Kansas City to stop the run. That will set up opportunities over the top with the play-action passing game. Cleveland’s best bet on defense is not allowing receivers a free release off the line of scrimmage and to leave two safeties over the top.

What are the keys for the Chiefs?

They need to execute better on offense than they did in Week 17. They also need better blocking up front from guys like LT Eric Fisher, especially in pass protection. On defense, they need to stop the run and force QB Baker Mayfield to beat them through the air. The defense is going to need to win the line of scrimmage, especially after how dominant the Browns’ offensive line looked against the Steelers. If Cleveland can’t win the line of scrimmage, it will be a long day when it comes to defending the run.

What is the matchup to watch?

Browns RB Kareem Hunt vs. Chiefs LB Anthony Hitchens. Hunt will likely have something to prove against his former team. The Chiefs' linebacker group hasn’t been great, but Hitchens has put together his best season.
