Bengals' Mark Walton arrested, charged with misdemeanor battery in parking garage dispute

Cincinnati Bengals running back Mark Walton was arrested and charged with misdemeanor battery on Friday in Miami, according to Dade County Jail booking records obtained by USA TODAY Sports. Walton, 21, was released after posting bond early Saturday.

According to the arrest report detailed on booking records, Walton engaged in a physical altercation with a woman who was recording him on her cell phone during an argument outside a downtown Miami parking garage. Walton and the alleged victim fell during a scuffle for the phone. Walton's vehicle was blocking the parking garage's entrance during the argument. The garage identified in the report was connected to Walton's residence.

In a statement issued Saturday, the Bengals said they are aware of the arrest report and "gathering more information."

Walton, a former Miami Hurricanes star, was drafted by the Bengals in the fourth round of last year's NFL draft. He recorded 75 yards on 19 carries while playing a minor role for Cincinnati through 14 games last season.
