Kacey Reynolds, a 19-year-old Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan who announced the team's first-round selection in last year's draft, has died after a three-year battle with Hodgkin lymphoma, the team announced Sunday.

Reynolds, a native of Maysville, Georgia, read off the selection of LSU's Devin White last April.

"We’re saddened by the passing of Buccaneers fan Kacey Reynolds. Our hearts go out to his family," the team said in a statement on Twitter. "Kacey announced our first round pick at last year’s draft as his Make-A-Wish experience, and will forever be a part of the Buccaneers family."

After announcing their first-round pick, Reynolds and his family were also invited to fly back to Tampa on the team's charter with White. They met with team officials, including coach Bruce Arians, a two-time cancer survivor.

During his visit, he participated in White's introductory press conference. He also played pool with Hall of Fame coach Tony Dungy and star wide receiver Mike Evans.
