Pittsburgh Steelers at Philadelphia Eagles preseason game: Live stream, time, date, how to watch

USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles will be looking to start their new era off on a strong foot Thursday with their preseason opener, while the Pittsburgh Steelers look to build on last week's win over the Dallas Cowboys in the Hall of Fame Game.

First-year coach Nick Sirianni is trying to get Philadelphia on the right track after a 4-11-1 campaign in 2020. That could mean a good run of playing time for a number of expected starters, including quarterback Jalen Hurts, whom Sirianni has yet to commit to as his No. 1.

The Steelers, meanwhile, will once again sit starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and instead leave the reps to backups Mason Rudolph, Dwayne Haskins and Joshua Dobbs. Running back Najee Harris could again play a prominent role after logging seven carries for 22 yards in the Hall of Fame Game.

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool (11) heads to the end zone and a touchdown after making a catch against the Philadelphia Eagles during an NFL football game, Sunday, Oct. 11, 2020, in Pittsburgh.
