Raiders punter Marquette King also wants to be a superhero
As the Oakland Raiders punter, Marquette King said he most closely identifies with … the Green Power Ranger. In fact, he boasted about talking to Jason David Frank, who portrayed the original Green Power Ranger on the superhero TV series that debuted in 1993.
“You see the Green Power Ranger and he can do things that the other Power Rangers can’t do,’’ King told USA TODAY Sports. “He’s just so swagged out."
Occasionally, King said, he dresses up as the Green Power Ranger. During a media event before the season started, he showed up wearing a power ranger helmet because he didn’t want to answer questions.
