Week 3 was almost a must-win game for the Las Vegas Raiders. After starting the season 0-2, they needed a win against another AFC contender in the Tennessee Titans.

Instead, they lost another close game late in the fourth quarter.

Entering Sunday, the Raiders had a 16% chance to make the playoffs, per FiveThirtyEight. But after this latest loss — a 24-22 loss to the Titans — those odds dropped to 12% after Week 3.

The good news for the Raiders is that they aren’t too far out from the division lead as the Los Angeles Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs both lost in Week 3. Still, their odds of winning the AFC West sit at just 4% going into Week 4.

If the Raiders want to have any chance of making the playoffs this season, they have to get a win Sunday against the Denver Broncos. That game is at home, which should benefit Las Vegas. But it’s a game that the Raiders must get in order to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Should the Raiders win that game, they would be right back in the AFC West hunt. The Chiefs play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road in Week 4, so it’s reasonable to think that the leader of the AFC West could be 2-2 after the first month of the season.

Needless to say, it’s a must-win game for the Raiders now in Week 4.
