FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – If the Pittsburgh Steelers are to make a comeback in the AFC Championship Game, they may have to do it without one of their best players.

Running back Le’Veon Bell left the game with a left groin injury, and the team has ruled him questionable to return. He returned for one play but then went back to the sideline.

Backup DeAngelo Williams entered in his place, and promptly scored the team’s first points, a five-yard touchdown rush.

While Williams is a very capable backup, Bell is not only one of the top running backs in the NFL, he’s also one of the most dynamic skill position players.

In 12 games this season, Bell gained 1,884 yards from scrimmage and scored nine total touchdowns.

Bell received medical attention from trainers after he left the game, but later did some light jogging to keep the injury loose. He put his helmet back on while the Steelers were driving, appearing to be able to re-enter the game.
