Predicting which Titans CBs will make the 53-man roster

The Tennessee Titans will have a new-look cornerbacks room during the 2024 campaign after the team made a pair of significant additions.

After signing Chidobe Awuzie to a three-year, $36 million deal in free agency, Titans general manager Ran Carthon pulled the trigger on a trade with the Kansas City Chiefs for star cornerback L'Jarius Sneed.

Tennessee then went on to sign Sneed to a massive four-year, $76.4 million contract to keep him in Nashville for the long haul.

In what was at least somewhat unexpected, Carthon also used a draft pick on the position, selecting cornerback Jarvis Brownlee Jr. in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Sneed and Awuzie will join fellow cornerback Roger McCreary, who will operate out of the slot once again after an impressive sophomore year. That gives Tennessee a trio that has the potential to be among the league's best in 2024.

While those three spots are locked-in, things are a bit murky from there. Here's how we see things shaking out at cornerback on the Titans' 53-man roster out of training camp.

The Titans selected Brownlee Jr. in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. While how high up the depth chart he ultimately lands come Week 1 remains to be seen, he's going to make the roster.

Eric Garror

Garror has a head of steam after he was quietly excellent in coverage over 12 games in 2023, with the UDFA surrendering a completion rate of just 46.9% and a passer rating of 68.4.

The Louisiana product also has experience as a punt returner, which gives him added value and helps his cause, although he did have a pair of blunders in that department last season.

Farley's career has been nothing short of a disappointment, which led to Tennessee declining his fifth-year option.

We're giving Farley the benefit of the doubt, but his roster spot is anything but guaranteed, and I don't think the fact that the Titans would eat dead money if they cut him will stop them from doing so.

The rookie was one of the bigger standouts from the offseason program after he routinely made plays in practice. As a result, we have him making the cut as of right now, but he'll have to cement his place in training camp.
