Coyotes forward Josh Archibald suspended 2 games for hit on Predators' Ryan Hartman

NEW YORK (AP) β€” Arizona Coyotes forward Josh Archibald was suspended for two games without pay by the NHL on Friday for an illegal check to Nashville forward Ryan Hartman's head.

Arizona Coyotes right wing Josh Archibald will sit out the next two games.

Archibald was given a minor penalty for an illegal check to the head Thursday night in the Coyotes' 2-1 home victory. The suspension will cost Archibald $7,258.

Archibald has two penalty minutes in nine games this season.

Meanwhile, Pittsburgh Penguins forward Matt Cullen was fined $1,000 for a dangerous trip of Tampa Bay Lightning forward J.T. Miller.

The infraction came during the first period of Thursday night's game, a 4-3 victory by Tampa Bay. Cullen was assessed a minor penalty for tripping.
