Nine months after winning an Olympic silver medal in women's bobsled, Elana Meyers Taylor shows no sign of slowing down.

Sunday she reached a milestone by becoming the first woman – along with Canadian Kaillie Humphries – to win a medal in an international four-man bobsled race.

Meyers Taylor actually won two medals Sunday in a pair of four-man races, a silver and a bronze, at the North American Cup in Calgary. She teamed with Dustin Greenwood, Adrian Adams and Carlo Valdes. Humphries also took silver in the first race.

The International Bobsled and Skeleton Federation (FIBT) announced in September that women could compete in four-man races. Meyers Taylor and Humphries need to race in one more competition to qualify for the World Cup four-man sleds.

"It's been a long week, but my guys have worked extremely hard," Meyers Taylor said in a news release. "Our improvement from last week was really a result of Dustin, Carlo and Adrian committing to getting better by improving our loads and riding position. This week showed me how much I still have to learn about four-man and switching back and forth between four-man and two-man."

In the women's bobsled races, Meyers Taylor also won gold and silver medals with push athlete Cherrelle Garrett.

In February at the Sochi Olympics, Humphries came from behind to win gold, beating Meyers and push athlete Lauryn Williams by .1.
