Danielle Scott-Arruda celebrates a win for Team USA over China at the 2012 London Olympics.

Clarification: An earlier version of this story misidentified the victim.

Five-time U.S. Olympian Danielle Scott was seriously injured in a domestic violence incident Sunday in Louisiana that claimed the life of her sister.

A two-time Olympic silver medalist in volleyball, Scott suffered knife wounds to her legs and hands, while her sister, Stefanie Vallery, was fatally stabbed in the violent rampage.

Vallery's daughter, who was also present, suffered minor injuries.

Baton Rouge police are searching for the suspect, Vallery's estranged husband Michael, who fled the scene.

Scott was inducted into the International Volleyball Hall of Fame in 2016.

A GoFundMe account has been set up to help the family pay for funeral costs and medical treatment.
