Okubo leads Kawasaki past FC Tokyo in J-League

TOKYO (AP) β€” Yoshito Okubo scored his record-extending 160th and 161st career goals as Kawasaki Frontale beat FC Tokyo 4-2 to maintain first place in the J-League standings.

Okubo scored his first goal in the 10th minute after Australian striker Nathan Burns scored his first goal of the season a minute earlier.

Okubo scored his second goal in the 77th minute to level the score at 2-2. Yu Kobayashi and Elsinho added late goals to complete the scoring.

Kawasaki improved to 17 points, one ahead of Urawa Reds, which beat Vegalta Sendai 3-1.

Shinzo Koroki, who put Urawa ahead with his fifth goal of the season, and Yuki Muto scored second-half goals for Urawa.

Two matches in Kyushu were postponed because of the earthquakes in the region that have claimed 30 lives.
