The Houston Rockets conclude their 2018-19 regular season Tuesday by paying a visit to the Oklahoma City Thunder at Chesapeake Energy Center with tip-off set for shortly after 9:30 p.m. Eastern. The matchup is currently projected to be the 3 vs. 6 first-round series in the Western Conference Playoffs.

The Thunder will finish its regular season Wednesday night with a road game against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Houston Rockets vs. Oklahoma City Thunder: By the Numbers

  • The Rockets are 22-18 as the road team this season but will be facing a Thunder squad that's gone 26-14 on homecourt, covering the spread in 20 of 40 games. The Rockets are 17-22 against the line as visitors.
  • Houston comes in at 8-2 over its last 10 outings, covering the spread seven times. The Thunder is 4-6 against the spread and 5-5 overall.
  • The Rockets have won six straight and covered the spread each time out, going 3-2-1 against the total.
  • The Thunder holds a 2-1 edge in the season series with both games playing to the under.

Houston Rockets vs. Oklahoma City Thunder: Key Injuries

The Rockets have no listed injuries and are unlikely to rest veterans in their regular-season finale with the opportunity still alive to overtake the Denver Nuggets for the conference's second seed.

Thunder head coach Billy Donovan indicated Sunday that SG Andre Roberson is unlikely to return this season after previously undergoing knee surgery.

Houston Rockets vs. Oklahoma City Thunder: Best Bet

Moneyline: Houston holds a -120 edge for the outright win. It's unclear whether they'll favor trying for the No. 2 seed or hiding some gameplans from their potential first-round opponent. Roll with the Thunder at +100 as it tries to stay ahead of the San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Clippers for the sixth seed.

Against the spread: The spread's set at just 1 in the Rockets' favor, but each team has -110 odds to cover. It's the better number if you want to back Houston, but we'll still take OKC.

Over/under: The total of 225.5 has been beaten just once in the three-game season series thus far, with that coming in the Thunder's most recent victory in February. The Rockets have blown out that number in each outing during the six-game winning streak, but the Thunder have done it in just two of its last eight. We'll go UNDER at -110.
