The Boston Celtics will start their fifth consecutive postseason Sunday when they host the Indiana Pacers at TD Garden at 1 p.m. Eastern to begin their Eastern Conference Quarterfinals series. It's the first playoff matchup between the two sides since they met in the first round in three straight years from 2002-03 to 2004-05.

Indiana Pacers at Boston Celtics: By the Numbers

  • Boston took three of four meetings in the season series. Indiana's victory came in the first head-to-head matchup in November but by just a single point.
  • The Celtics went 28-13 at home this year, but covered the spread just 20 times. The Pacers were 19-22 on the road and 18-23 ATS.

  • Indiana had the third-lowest points per game average of the 16 playoff teams but had the fourth-highest team field-goal percentage.
  • Both teams ranked in the bottom half of the league in possessions per game but the Celtics were eighth in offensive efficiency.

Indiana Pacers at Boston Celtics: Key Injuries

The Pacers won't have team leader Victor Oladipo for the postseason. Myles Turner, Domantas Sabonis, Wesley Matthews, Bojan Bogdanovic, and Thaddeus Young all rested in the regular-season finale but are expected to be good to go.

The Celtics also rested a large group in the final game(s) of the regular season as their seed was already set. SG Marcus Smart (oblique) is the only one who'll miss postseason games.

Indiana Pacers at Boston Celtics: Best Bet

Moneyline: The Celtics are big favorites at -305 on home court. It's the play if you're willing to spot them such a lopsided number.

Against the spread: The superior odds are at -110 for Boston to cover -7 as they come in with a mostly healthy lineup.

Over/under: The total's set at 209.5 with both sides paying -110. We'll take the UNDER as the Pacers lack firepower without Oladipo.
