The Dallas Stars and St. Louis Blues were both able to pull off Round 1 upsets in the 2018-19 Stanley Cup Playoffs and the two lower-seeded teams from their respective series will start the second-round Thursday night at Enterprise Center in St. Louis, MO, with puck drop coming shortly after 9:30 p.m. Eastern.

Odds provided by Bet365; for a full-set of today's sports betting odds, access them at USA TODAY Sports.

Dallas Stars at St. Louis Blues: By the Numbers

  • Both teams were able to win their first-round matchups in six games, with the Blues knocking off the Winnipeg Jets and Dallas taking down the Nashville Predators.
  • The two sides met four times in the regular season and the Stars took three of those four meetings, winning the goal differential 13-7.

  • Four players for Dallas shared the team lead with six points in Round 1. Only Blues D Alex Pietrangelo was able to match that total.
  • The Stars ranked second in Round 1 with just two goals allowed per game and their 100 percent penalty kill was the best mark of all 16 postseason teams.

Dallas Stars at St. Louis Blues: Projected Goalie Starters

Ben Bishop vs. Jordan Binnington

Bishop ranks second among all postseason starters in save percentage and third in goals against average. Binnington led the regular season with a GAA of 1.89, but that mark rose to 2.63 in the first round.

Dallas Stars at St. Louis Blues: Key Injuries

Stars D Jamie Oleksiak was ruled out for Game 1 due to a lower-body injury. C Martin Hanzal and D Marc Methot remain away from the team with injuries.

Blues D Robert Bortuzzo is questionable for the start of the second-round series.

Dallas Stars at St. Louis Blues: NHL Best Bet

Moneyline: The Blues opened as -155 favorites on home ice. They lost two of three home games in Round 1, but they can be trusted to start the series strong after taking a 2-0 lead against the Jets.

Against the spread: The Stars will keep this tight with Bishop playing the best hockey of his career right now. Take them at -225 to cover +1.5.

Over/under: With both teams getting through the first round with strong goaltending and team defense, we'll take the UNDER on 5 at -105.
