Denver Nuggets at San Antonio Spurs: By the Numbers

  • The Nuggets look to advance to the second round of the postseason for the first time since going all the way to the Conference Finals in 2008-09.
  • The Northwest Division champs and second-seeded team in the Western Conference have won two straight games by at least 14 points each to bring the seventh-seeded Spurs to the brink of elimination.

  • Nuggets C Nikola Jokic leads all playoff players in total rebounds and leads the series in rebounds and assists per game while leading his team in scoring.
  • The Spurs have relied on DeMar DeRozan (22.0 PPG), LaMarcus Aldridge (19.6 PPG), and Derrick White (17.8 PP) but have no other players averaging more than nine points per game. The Nuggets have six players in double figures.

Denver Nuggets at San Antonio Spurs: Best Bet

Moneyline: The Spurs are home favorites at -145 despite taking lopsided losses in each of the last two games of the series. The Nuggets have the chance to advance and get a little bit of rest before the start of Round 2. Back the visitors at +125.

Against the spread: Go with the Nuggets as outright winners instead of the smaller -110 to cover a spread of just +3. No game has been played tighter than five points this series.

Over/under: Game 5's 198 combined point total has dragged Thursday's number down to 208. Pick the OVER (-110) as the desperate Spurs try to increase the pace.
