Colorado Rockies at Milwaukee Brewers: Projected Starting Pitchers

LHP Kyle Freeland vs. RHP Zach Davies

Freeland (finger) will come off the 10-day injured list Tuesday, and he checks into this outing with a 2-3 record and 4.23 ERA over his five outings. He is coming off of his finest start of the season before his finger injury, as he yielded just two hits with no walks over six scoreless innings while striking out seven in a victory against the Phillies on April 18.

Davies heads into this one with a 2-0 record, 1.65 ERA and 19 strikeouts over 27 1/3 innings across five starts this season. The Brewers went 3-0 in his first three outings, but they're 0-2 in his past two outings. The 'under' has connected in each of his five starts this season.

Colorado Rockies at Milwaukee Brewers: Picks and Betting Tips

Moneyline: Miller Park has been a house of horrors for the Rockies ( +104), and the Brewers are ( -120) small favorites in this one because of Milwaukee's struggles overall and Colorado's recent run. Take advantage and bank on Davies, who has been red hot lately.

Against the spread: The Rockies ( +1.5, -196) are not worth the risk, as they might have some trouble scoring against Davies. The Brewers ( -1.5, +168) have been hot lately, and they do have Yelich, who has left the yard 14 times already this season. If you're inclined to play the run line, Milwaukee is the play here.

Over/under: The UNDER8.5(+100) is a good value based on the head-to-head trends mentioned above. The under is also 4-1-1 in Freeland's past six road outings, and 20-6-1 in his past 27 against winning teams. The under is 4-1 in Milwaukee's past five at home and 8-2 in Davies' past 10 starts overall.
