Portland Trail Blazers at Denver Nuggets: By the Numbers

  • The Trail Blazers won their final game against the Nuggets in the regular season to avoid the series sweep. No game was decided by more than nine points.
  • Denver played to the over in four of seven games against the Spurs despite the two teams playing to the slowest pace of all first-round series.

  • Both teams covered the spread in just three games in Round 1. The Nuggets had two double-digit victories to Portland's one.
  • Nuggets C Nikola Jokic leads the postseason in total rebounds, assists and win shares.
  • Blazers PG Damian Lillard ranks second with 33.0 points per game.

Portland Trail Blazers at Denver Nuggets: Key Injuries

Portland C Enes Kanter is questionable for Game 1 due to a shoulder injury. He could join C Jusuf Nurkic as an inactive.

Nuggets SF Michael Porter Jr. is their only injured player. He's out for the remainder of the season.

Portland Trail Blazers at Denver Nuggets: Best Bet

Moneyline: Take a well-rested Trail Blazers team at lofty +155 odds in the series opener. They were the underdogs in the first-round series and three of five games against the Thunder.

Against the spread: The outright is a much better play than the -110 odds for Portland to cover the 4-point spread.

Over/under: Monday's total of 216 was topped thrice by each team in the first round. They both ranked in the top half of postseason teams in offensive efficiency and Denver was 13th in defensive efficiency. Take the OVER with -110 odds.
