The New York Giants (1-6) host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-2) at MetLife Stadium for an 8:15 p.m. ET Monday Night Football kickoff on what's expected to be a chilly night in East Rutherford, NJ. Below, we give you five prop bet predictions to consider for the Giants in their Week 8 matchup from the BetMGM game menu.

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports' betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 9:15 a.m. ET.

RB Dion Lewis OVER 25.5 yards from scrimmage (-115)

Giants RB Devonta Freeman (ankle) is out for Monday Night Football, leaving Lewis and Wayne Gallman to split backfield work. Lewis is projected for 12.5 rushing yards and 9.5 receiving yards for a total of 22.

NFL STATS CENTRAL: The latest NFL scores, schedules, odds, stats and more.

He set a season-high of 23 rushing yards last week and had a high of 36 receiving yards in Week 2. Look for increased usage Monday to allow him to approach both of those totals, especially in a matchup likely to force the Giants to pass for much of the game.

QB Daniel Jones OVER 26.5 rushing yards (-110)

Jones will also help make up for the absence of Freeman with his legs. The sophomore QB has topped 45 rushing yards in four of seven games this season. He'll be forced from the pocket quite often by a Buccaneers defense with 25 sacks through seven games.

WR Sterling Shepard OVER 3.5 receptions (-167)

Shepard returned from injury last week to catch 6 of 8 targets for 59 yards and a touchdown in his third game of the season. He led the Giants in yards and shared the team reception lead with TE Evan Engram despite being targeted one less time. With Jones projected for 19.5 pass completions, Shepard should come down with 20% of those as the new No. 1 option.

Special Week 8 NFL Betting Promotion:

Bet $1 on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers money line, WIN $100 (in free bets) if Buccaneers QB Tom Brady throws a touchdown against the New York Giants in Week 8. Place your legal, online sports wagers in CO, IN, NJ, TN and WV at BetMGM, The King of Sportsbooks. New customer offer.

WR Darius Slayton's longest reception UNDER 20.5 yards (-110)

The Bucs have allowed just 19 pass plays of 20-plus yards through seven games. With Tampa Bay favored by 13 points, it should be able to sit back and play prevent defense for a large portion of the second half and keep Slayton from breaking a big catch-and-run.

First touchdown scorer: Jones (+1400)

Jones has already topped his rookie rushing total with 296 yards on the ground through seven games. Despite an 80-yard run last week, he has been kept out of the end zone all season. Expect him to call his own number near the goal line Monday night for a little bit of redemption on his failure to score in Week 7.
