Baylor at Iowa State: Three things to know
- Baylor posted a 105-76 win over Alcorn State of the Southwestern Athletic Conference Wednesday in a final tune-up before conference play kicks in full time. They Bears didn't come close to covering a 44-point number, their first non-cover in eight games this season.
- Iowa State won 60-45 against Jackson State, also a SWAC member, last time out Dec. 20. The Cyclones have had a rough go of it early on, winning just twice in the first six games, while covering only once. Both of their wins are against SWAC opponents, which isn't terribly good news heading into a game against the No. 2 Bears.
- Baylor is an impressive 7-1 ATS this season, and 40-19-1 ATS in their past 60 road games over the past few seasons. Iowa State is a dismal 1-5 ATS, and 0-5 ATS in its past five at home.

Baylor 89, Iowa State 66
Money line (ML)
Baylor (-2000) is going to thrash Iowa State, but there is no value playing the Bears. If disaster, an injury and ejection, occurs, you will be in a world of hurt.

Against the spread (ATS)
The BEARS -15.5 (-110) have been cover kings so far this season, hitting in seven of their first eight games ATS, including a 100-69 curb-stomping - as 16-point favorites - of Kansas State in Manhattan, Kan., in the conference opener. Look for the Bears to do similar work against Iowa State in Ames.
Over/Under (O/U)
OVER 148.5 (-110) is the play, although you can expect Baylor to have to do most of the heavy lifting on the scoreboard. Iowa State has been struggling on offense, going for just 69.2 points per game. It's not like a bell is going to go off and the Cyclones are going to roll up big points against the No. 2 Bears. If ISU can flirt with 70, which is right around its season average, the Over is golden here.
