- The Horned Frogs head into Tuesday's game on a five-game win streak. Strong rebounding (plus-2.4 margin during the streak) and holding foes to a 40.3% field-goal mark have been key factors in the run of victories. Three of TCU's five wins in the streak were at home; the Frogs are 4-2 at home this season.
- Kansas rattled off eight straight wins from Nov. 27-Dec. 22, but that streak came to a grinding halt in the team's last game, an 84-59 loss to Texas Saturday. Kansas shot just 30.8% from the floor. It marked the program's worst single-game shooting performance since Nov. 18, 2014.
- Head coach Bill Self's Kansas teams have had impressive bounce-back games after losses, especially in road games the last couple of years. The last three times the Jayhawks followed a loss with an away or neutral-site game, they won by margins of 16, 14, and 22 points. All three were against the spread covers.
