Boston College at Duke: Three things to know
- The Eagles have won just two of nine games so far this season, with one win over Rhode Island on a neutral court, and a win at home against Maine Dec. 22. They have dropped six of their past seven games, and they're just 2-5 ATS during the skid since Nov. 30.
- The Under hit last time out for B.C., against Louisville, but the Over is 6-1 across its past seven outings. The Eagles have allowed 81.1 PPG, which ranks just 322nd in the nation while ranking 335th with a 49.4 defensive field-goal percentage. The opposition is also hitting at a 34.9 percent clip from behind the 3-point line.
- Duke hasn't exactly been performing like usual so far this season, alternating wins and losses. It won last time out at Notre Dame (Dec. 16) for its first cover of the season after an 0-4 ATS start. Their other two wins are against Bellarmine and Coppin State, not exactly a murderer's row.

Duke 80, Boston College 66
Money line (ML)
Duke (-900) normally would be a slam-dunk play and a sure-fire winner in a game like this in the past but the Blue Devils are struggling with consistency this season, and have just one win against a notable team. AVOID.
Against the spread (ATS)
DUKE -12.5 (-110) has covered just once so far, failing to hit the number in each of its first four games at Cameron Indoor. The home team is a perfect 4-0 ATS in the past four meetings in this series, and the Blue Devils are still 5-1 ATS across their past six at home against teams with a losing road record.
This should be the game that finally gets Coach K's bunch back on track.
Over/Under (O/U)
UNDER 149.5 (-105) is the way to go, but only with a small-unit wager. The Over is 9-3-1 in Duke's past 13 games at home, but the Under is 2-1-1 in its first four at Cameron this season.
The Under is also 5-1-1 in Duke's last seven games against teams with a winning percentage of .400 or lower. This won't be a defensive battle, but it won't crack 150 points, either.
