Grizzlies at Timberwolves: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Grizzlies 108, Timberwolves 102

Money line (ML)

The GRIZZLIES (+125) are the play as plus-money underdogs on the road off of back-to-back wins, even though they're the more injury-hindered team. The Timberwolves' win over the Spurs was largely the result of a woeful shooting display by San Antonio, as the visitors went just 36-for-94 from the field, 8-for-30 from 3-point range and 8-for-14 from the free-throw line.

The Grizzlies have also been a poor shooting team with Jackson and Morant on the sidelines, but they manage to get up the eighth-most field-goal attempts in the NBA. The Wolves allow opponents to hit on 48.6% of field-goal attempts, and that number will rise if Towns isn't active to guard Grizzlies C Jonas Valanciunas in the paint.

Against the spread (ATS)

Liking the GRIZZLIES +2.5 (-105) to win outright, taking them with the 2 points of insurance in the event of a loss.

Minnesota is 17th in free-throw attempts per game and 22nd in free-throw percentage. Memphis is last in the NBA with just 17.5 attempts per game but 12th in success rate. The Grizzlies are also fourth in defensive turnover rate and should be able to scratch out a late cover if they're not able to get the outright win.

Over/Under (O/U)

The last five meetings between these two Western Conference opponents dating back to Feb. 5, 2019, have gone 3-2 against the Over/Under. The Grizzlies are 3-7 against the OU this season and the T-Wolves are 5-5.

They combine to allow 226.8 points per game but score just 214.2 PPG. With both sides rested coming into Wednesday, go with the UNDER 221.5 (-110).
