Antti Raanta (4-2-1, 3.65 GAA, .903 SV%) vs. Philipp Grubauer (12-7-0, 2.11 GAA, .917 SV%, 3 SO)
Raanta came on for the injured Darcy Kuemper in the third period of Monday's game in Colorado with the game tied 2-2 and ended up with the victory. While he was sharp in that relief outing, he allowed 5 goals in three of his past four starts.
Grubauer was on the short end of Monday's series opener, making just 11 saves on 14 shots in the 3-2 loss. Grubauer has been a little erratic lately, although he has still allowed 3 or fewer goals in three straight outings and in 16 of his previous 18 starts.

The Avalanche (-200) are looking for the bounce back after losing the front end of the back-to-back; however, you cannot risk two times your potential return, even if they are facing the backup Raanta.

Against the spread (ATS)
The COYOTES +1.5 (-160) are once again worth playing on the puck line. It's a bit worrisome that they'll have Raanta between the pipes and not the more consistent Kuemper, but they have the offense to hang with the high-octane Avs.
Over/Under (O/U)
The OVER 5.5 (+105) is a tremendous value at plus-money, as Colorado has the potential to pile up several goals against the erratic Raanta. He has allowed 17 total goals over his past four starts.
The Coyotes are playing their fourth game in the past six days, and the Over is 5-1 in their past six when playing the fourth game of a 4-in-6 situation. The Over is also 6-2 in the previous eight games as road underdogs for the Coyotes.
It's been mostly Under results for the Avs lately, although the Over is 9-4 in their past 13 in the fourth game of a 4-in-6, too.
