Nebraska plays a high-tempo game, and the Cornhuskers' 74.3 points per game allowed ranks 14th in the circuit. Penn State plays at a middle pace, the Lions' 73.2 PPG allowed ranks 12th in the conference.
- Nebraska will be without the services of F Teddy Allen (16.4 PPG), who left the team to begin focused preparation on the next step in his basketball career. Allen torched PSU for 41 points on Feb. 23, a game the Lions survived, 86-83. He went 16-of-24 from the floor in that contest.
