2021 Oakland A's World Series, win total, pennant and division odds
The Oakland A's won the AL West in last year's shortened season. They went 36-24 in the regular season and made their third consecutive postseason appearance. Below, we look at the Oakland A'sMLB futures odds, including their projected 2021 win total and World Series odds at BetMGM .
Oakland defeated the Chicago White Sox in a three-game AL Wild Card Series. The A's had to rally from a 3-0 deficit in the deciding Game 3 for a 6-4 victory. It was the franchise's first playoff series win since 2006.
The A's were eliminated in the next round, falling to the Houston Astros 3-1 in an AL Division Series.
Oakland's big offseason move was sending slugger DH Khris Davis to the Texas Rangers for SS Elvis Andrus in a five-player deal. Andrus will replace SS Marcus Semien, who signed with the Toronto Blue Jays.
1B Matt Olson and 3B Matt Chapman lead a returning nucleus on the offensive side. Pitching-wise, there's excitement about the future of the rotation with young LHPs' Jesus Luzardo and A.J. Puk (sixth overall pick in 2016 draft).
The A's added 1B/OF Mitch Moreland and RHP Trevor Rosenthal. The hope is Moreland replaces Davis' offensive stats, while Rosenthal can take over the closing role with 2019 All-Star reliever Liam Hendriks signing with the White Sox.
OF/1B Mark Canha and rookie OF Seth Brown (.297, 37 HRs, 104 RBIs with Triple-A Las Vegas in 2019) will be counted on to replace LF Robbie Grossman, who signed with the Detroit Tigers.

Ten teams have shorter odds than Oakland. The defending World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers (+350) are the favorites, followed by the New York Yankees (+550). The AL West team with the shortest odds is Houston (+2200).
The longest odds belong to the Pittsburgh Pirates (+20000) and Texas Rangers (+15000).
At +2500, Oakland's implied probability of winning the World Series is 3.85% or 25/1 fractional odds. It would make for a nice payoff, but the A's downgraded with Andrus, Moreland and Rosenthal replacing Semien, Davis and Hendriks. PASS.

The A's 36 wins in last year's 60-game season equates to 97 victories. In the previous two full seasons, Oakland recorded back-to-back 97-win seasons.
The trend makes a lean on the Over 87.5, but the A's will regress with the loss of Semien, who set the table as their leadoff hitter. PASS.

Texas (+8000) is the biggest long shot, Seattle (+6600) is the next largest dog and the Angels (+2000) are ninth.
