Spurs at Pistons: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Spurs 109, Pistons 102

Money line (ML)

The Pistons own the second-worst record in the NBA and have shown no signs of improving. The Spurs haven't impressed lately and haven't won back-to-back games since Feb. 12-14, going 3-5 in their last eight games.

But even with Aldridge on his way out and DeRozan questionable, I like the SPURS (-140) to win tonight in a somewhat low-scoring game. They've been good on the road this season (9-6) and their defense will limit a bad Pistons offense.

Against the spread (ATS)

The Spurs and Pistons have both been good against the spread, with San Antonio going 19-16 this season and Detroit 20-17-1. Both are 5-5 ATS in their last 10 games, too, and a slim 2.5-point margin on the spread doesn't make this any easier to pick.

But I still like the SPURS -2.5 (-110) to cover the spread. The margin could be closer if DeRozan doesn't play, but regardless, San Antonio is the better team despite being on the road.

Over/Under (O/U)

The Over/Under is 215.5 points in this matchup between two low-scoring teams. The Over is 5-5 in the Spurs' last 10 games, while it's just 3-7 in the last 10 Pistons games.

The Spurs haven't topped 104 points in any of their last four games and Detroit ranks 24th in points per game. Bet the UNDER 215.5 (-110) in this one, especially with the Spurs playing the second leg of a back-to-back.
