The Ducks were just 1-3 on their homestand and are just 2-9-3 since Feb. 15. They're coming off a 3-1 loss to the San Jose Sharks Saturday which followed a 6-0 shutout loss Friday.
The Avalanche have won three straight games, including a two-game sweep of the Los Angeles Kings which finished with a 4-1 victory Sunday. Colorado is playing the seventh game of a nine-game home stint which began with a split two-game set against Anaheim; both of those games went to overtime.

John Gibson (6-12-5, .894 SV%, 3.11 GAA) vs. Hunter Miska (1-1-2, .865 SV%, 3.50 GAA)
Gibson leads the NHL in games played, regulation losses and overtime losses. Both his save percentage and goals against average for the season are career-worst figures. He allowed 5 goals in each of his last three games and has just one win in 11 games since Feb. 11.
Miska hasn't played since March 6, when he allowed 5 goals on 27 shots in an overtime loss to the Ducks. He has allowed 3 or more goals in three of his four outings this season as the backup to Philipp Grubauer.

The Avalanche are too expensive to warrant a wager at -275. They're the much better team at third in the West Division and riding a three-game win streak, but they're just 2-1-1 against the Ducks for the season series. That's enough cause for concern despite Anaheim's horrendous last month.

Against the spread (ATS)
The Avalanche were expected to have a league-altering offense this season; however, far too often it has been Grubauer stealing them games.
The floodgates could open given Gibson's recent performances. This isn't nearly as strong as a take as it would've been with the No. 1 goaltender in net for Colorado, but back the AVALANCHE-1.5 (+100) at even money to win by at least 2 goals.
Over/Under (O/U)
UNDER 5.5 (-105) is the play with Gibson needing a get-right game eventually. He owns a .929 SV% and 2.29 GAA against Colorado for the season and should buck his recent slide, albeit in another loss.
The Ducks just can't score goals and should regress from their last outburst against Miska.
