Nets at Trail Blazers: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Trail Blazers 123, Nets 115

Money line (ML)

The Nets come into this one shorthanded, missing Durant and Irving. They could also be without Harden, which would be a huge blow to Brooklyn in a crucial matchup.

The Nets have still won seven of their last eight games, but if they're missing their big three, this team will look drastically different Tuesday night.

For that reason, I like the TRAIL BLAZERS (-160) to win outright, bouncing back from a stunning 40-point loss to the Mavericks on Sunday.

Against the spread (ATS)

The Nets and Blazers have both had trouble covering the spread lately. Brooklyn is 1-4 ATS in its last five, while Portland is just 2-6 in its last eight.

The 3.5-point spread isn't all that large when you consider the Nets will be traveling across the country and won't have Irving or Durant on the floor.

I like the BLAZERS -3.5 (-110) to cover tonight and win against a team that really struggles defensively.

Over/Under (O/U)

The Nets are the highest-scoring team in the NBA, but they also rank 26th defensively. Portland shouldn't have much trouble at all scoring against the Nets tonight, which will make this a high-scoring affair.

The Over/Under is 232.5 points, a number I think the final score will go OVER 232.5 (-115). In seven of the last 10 meetings between these two teams, the total has gone Over.
