The Minnesota Timberwolves (16-44) wrap up a road trip Saturday, taking on the Utah Jazz (44-15). Tip-off is 9 p.m. ET in Vivint Arena. Below, we analyze the Timberwolves-Jazz odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

Minnesota has lost two of their first three on the road trip and four of their last six overall. They beat the Jazz in Utah 116-111 back on Dec. 23, their second game of the season.

Utah remains in first place in the West with a two-game lead over the second-place Phoenix Suns. They have won four of their last five games. They host the Timberwolves and then travel to face them again on the road on Monday.

The Wolves are a league-worst 6-25 on the road this season. Utah is a league-best 26-3 at home. Even without Mitchell playing for the Jazz, there is no scenario in which someone wisely bets the Wolves to win straight up.

Against the spread (ATS)

The Jazz have covered the spread in two straight games and are 35-24 ATS this season, but they are 2-4 ATS in their last six games.

Without Mitchell for the Jazz and with the Timberwolves playing basically at full strength, this will be closer than some might think.
