RHP Jack Flaherty is the projected starting pitcher for the Cardinals. He is 8-0 with a 2.53 ERA, 0.99 WHIP, 9.3 K/9 and 2.9 BB/9 in 53 1/3 IP over nine starts.
Since a rough outing on Opening Day, Flaherty has put up a 1.65 ERA across his last eight outings, coming away with the win in each of them.
He isn't missing as many bats, as usual, this year, though, and has benefited from a .239 BABIP and 7.7% home run to fly-ball rate (HR/FB), the latter of which is well below his 14.4% career mark.
RHP Lucas Giolito is the projected starting pitcher for the White Sox. He is 3-4 with a 4.35 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, 11.1 K/9 and 3.8 BB/9 in 49 2/3 IP over nine starts.
Giolito had a pretty rough April, but that can be largely attributed to a 22.7% HR/FB and 60.0% left-on-base percentage during that time. In four home starts this season, he boasts a 3.60 ERA and 30/11 K/BB in 25 IP.

That's unlikely to change against Flaherty, who has been on a roll, albeit with a little good fortune on his side.
This looks like a pretty evenly matched game, one that should be close throughout. We'll side with the underdog and recommend a small play on Cardinals (+120).

Run line/Against the spread (ATS)
A tight game can be expected, but you have to pay up to get 1.5 runs on either side. As shown above, the Cardinals are +1.5 at -165, while taking the White Sox +1.5 is -250.
That is too high of a price, so PASS on the run line.
Over/Under (O/U)
The Under has hit in each of the White Sox last five games, and this sets up as another low-scoring affair. The offenses will likely struggle to put many runs on the board against Flaherty or Giolito, so go with UNDER 8 (-115).
