Hockey legend Wayne Gretzky and BetMGM partner on multi-year deal

Partnerships in the sports-betting industry continue, as NHL legend Wayne Gretzky is the latest to partner with BetMGM, a leading sports betting and digital gaming company. The two announced a partnership on a multi-year deal where Gretzky will serve as a BetMGM brand ambassador.

"BetMGM is a terrific company and one at the forefront of the dynamic changes taking place in the sports business," said Gretzky. "I'm excited to be a part of the company's continued expansion into new states and territories and to help tell BetMGM's story."

"The Great One," Gretzky, joins BetMGM's hockey and North American marketing efforts in the relationship.

As we look toward potential expansion into Canada, and elsewhere throughout the United States, Wayne will bring a unique ability to tell our brand story," Matt Prevost, BetMGM's Chief Revenue Officer said in a statement.

Gretzky, a four-time Stanley Cup Champion, is largely regarded as the greatest hockey player of all-time. He holds or shares 61 NHL records and is the all-time leader in both goals and assists, recording 2,857 points in 21 NHL seasons. He played with Edmonton, Los Angeles, St. Louis and the New York Rangers during his career, winning nine Hart Trophies as the league's Most Valuable Player.
