The New Jersey Devils (9-7-4) visit the Minnesota Wild (15-6-1) Thursday at Xcel Energy Center. Puck drop is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Devils vs. Wild odds and lines, and make our expert NHL picks, predictions and bets.

The Devils are looking to bounce back after getting pounded by the visiting San Jose Sharks 5-2 Tuesday night in Newark. The Over is on a 3-0 run for New Jersey.

The Wild picked up a 3-2 shootout win against the Devils in New Jersey the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. That kicked off the team's current four-game win streak.

Devils at Wild odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Wild 5, Devils 2

Money line

The WILD (-180) are a little on the expensive side, but it's not terribly out of line considering they're at home and a first-place team.

Minnesota has won four straight, and 28 of the past 36 games at home. On the flip side, New Jersey is just 2-6 in the past eight, and 5-13 across its past 18 games on the road.

Against the spread

The WILD -1.5 (+125) are a decent play. Minnesota has outscored the opposition 16-5 across the past three games, winning by 2 or more goals in each.

Over/Under

While the OVER 5.5 (-140) is also a little on the expensive side, it's not a bad play. Minnesota has the potential to take care of the Over all by itself. The Over has hit in each of the past three for Minnesota, and six of the previous seven outings.
